“Dance Generator” is an interactive improvisational dance performance where the audience creates the plot and becomes a co-creator. Using a special kind of joystick, the audience choses words for the dancers to create a DANCE STORY:
*Qualities of movement: water, fire …
*Emotions: angry, mad …
*Characters: dragon, spider, shaman …
*Setting: jungle, restaurant ..
*Items used: chair, ball …
The dancers are challenged with unexpected combinations of words such as: electric octopus, whirl of dragons, etc. They interpret the given words, improvising a dance under the sounds of live music. The freedom of spontaneous reaction and the flow of imagination of both audience and artists provide the main drive of the performance.
Expect a fun, dynamic and playful experience for children and adults.
