The Russian Woodpecker
A fascinating documentary about the quest for truth regarding the power plant Chernobyl by the irradiated Ukrainian artist Fedir Aleksandrovich and his prescient and powerful warnings about Putin’s plans and the coming Russian invasion.
The utterly eccentric Fedir Aleksandrovich begins his search by revealing to the world a huge secret Soviet weapon that stands in the shadow of Chernobyl and which Kremlinologists in 1980 believed to be a giant mind control device.
In this documentary-conspiracy thriller, Fedir returns to the ghost towns of the radioactive forbidden zone trying to find answers and to decide whether to risk his life by uncovering them, amid the growing clouds of revolution and war in Ukraine.
Screened at festivals around the world the movie has won dozens of awards and accolades and is like no other also available online. All income from the film screening will be donated to protect and restore a free Ukraine.
