CIRKOLUTION!
Why CIRKOLUTION!?
Mini Art Fest presents its 13th edition. Exactly 13 because we actually don’t count the 2014 Mini Art Fest in Barcelona and the special 11½ “Christmas Fire Festival” in 2021, in partnership with Georgi Iliev, Mayor of Slatina Municipality, Sofia. .
Since 2011 Mini Art Fest has presented more than 300 Bulgarian and international artists focusing on contemporary, street and social circus. Since 2019 Mini Art Foundation is an official member of Circostrada Network, the world’s largest network for contemporary circus and outdoor art. This membership enables a very fruitful exchange between the European circus and the Bulgarian scene. Our long term goal is to create a vibrant community of artists and organizations represented through an umbrella association for contemporary, social and street circus.
The 13th edition of Mini Art Fest is revolutionary for us, as the interest in this art is increasing. We have selected outstanding acts and participants, aiming at reaching new audiences and such with special needs. We strive at promoting social circus through educational projects and at fostering professional exchange with the so called “Circus Debates”.
Our host Topocentrala, being an extremely well-equipped space, is perfect for the needs of contemporary circus shows. We are proud and grateful for this exceptional opportunity to work at this long sought-after location.
The festival starts off with a new team and the goal to reach wide audiences and to establish contemporary circus as an attractive, provocative and personal art.
Special thanks for the long-standing support of the National Culture Fund, Programme “Creation”, and for the funding of CIRKOLUTION! – the 13th Mini Art Fest edition.
