Break Dance Presentation and Workshop
Sofia City Breakers will present a live breaking demonstration followed by an open workshop. The audience will first have the opportunity to experience breaking as a performative and physical practice, and then join in and try some basic moves and techniques together with members of the crew.
Sofia City Breakers is a breaking crew and sports club based in Sofia, bringing together active breakers with experience in stage performances, competitions, training, and working with children and young people. The crew develops breaking as a performing art, a sport, and part of contemporary urban culture, participating in national and international competitions, festivals, and cultural events.
An important part of their work is training and engaging with children and young people. Through regular training sessions, workshops, and public initiatives, breaking becomes a space for movement, creative expression, confidence-building, teamwork, and a sense of community.
